Your Treatment

Your treatment will comprise a lengthy consultation, where Louise will ask specific questions about the nature of your complaint. The tongue and pulse will also be assessed before making a diagnosis which is individual to each patient.  Before your treatment you will be asked to fill out a Patient Record form, which is available to download here and fill out before your treatment.

Following this consultation, Louise will prescribe herbal pills, powder, cream or dried herbs, acupuncture or another TCM treatment according to your individual needs.

The main treatments used in Chinese Medicine are Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tuina, Cupping, Moxibustion, and Gua Sha. The body is treated in a holistic way and treatments are tailored to your individual needs.

A healthy body is considered to be one where the body has strong 'Qi' (vital energy), blood, fluids, muscles and bones, and must be well balanced.  Yin and yang are central to the beliefs of TCM; a healthy body should have a balance of yin and yang.
